Dr. Primavesi received the award virtually during the CAEP annual conference awards ceremony on June 16, 2021.

“The best awards are those that come as a complete surprise and are for something you love to do,” says Dr. Primavesi. “It’s a huge honour for me to be recognized for my work in emergency medicine by my professional association.  It’s also extremely humbling because I work with so many outstanding emergency physicians at McGill and through CAEP.  I am grateful for the opportunities and trust that CAEP has provided to me that has allowed me to grow as a person and as a leader. I look forward to leveraging this experience to contribute to the evolution of the new academic Department of Emergency Medicine at McGill.”

Dr. Primavesi is an Emergency Physician at the Montreal General and Montreal Children’s hospitals of the McGill University Health Centre. He was recognized on the Faculty Honour List for Educational Excellence in 2010 and is an avid contributor to faculty development and continuing medical education. Dr. Primavesi was Chair of Continuing Medical Education for CAEP from 2010 to 2014 and is currently Associate Chair Education for the Department of Emergency Medicine.
