Dr. Peter Goldberg named Interim Chair of Department of Critical Care Medicine

Dr. Peter Goldberg has been named Interim Chair of the new Department of Critical Care Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at McGill.

A graduate of McGill’s medical school, Dr. Goldberg is currently the Director of Critical Care Medicine at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), a position he has held since 2007. Prior to this, he served in numerous roles at hospitals in the McGill network including as Director of the Intensive Care Unit at the Montreal Chest Institute, Medical Director of the Department of Respiratory Therapy at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), and Director of Critical Care Services at the RVH before assuming these responsibilities for the entire MUHC. Dr. Goldberg also holds a Master’s degree in Management from McGill and is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and an Osler Fellow.
