Queen’s U Survey for LGBTQ Law Grads

October 2013

A Queen’s University research project is looking for participants to complete a confidential online survey on Sexual Orientations and Gender Identities in the Legal Profession (Orientations et identités sexuelles dans la profession juridique).

This is a national survey of all LGBTQ law alumni and current law students in Canada. This SSHRC-funded project is designed to identify equality, retention, and workplace issues that may affect career choices, satisfaction with professional settings, and overall life satisfaction for LGBTQ graduates.

If you have an LL.B./B.C.L./J.D. degree or equivalent from a Canadian or foreign university, AND self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, intersex, or other sexuality-/gender-identified person (lesbienne, gai, bisexuel-le, transsexuel-le, bispirituel-le, intersexué-e ou d’une autre façon en rapport à votre sexe/genre), they wish to hear from you, whether or not you have ever worked in the legal profession.

The survey, which takes about 30 minutes to complete, is being distributed via the Canadian Bar Association, the law societies, law schools, and some large law firms. To participate, access the survey at SOGI Law:
