Dr. Jean-Marc Retrouvey to Lead Dental Health Focus of $6.4M NIH Grant for OI Study

retrouvey Dr. Jean Marc Retrouvey is one of the rare dental clinicians that has his name as Principle Collaborator on a multi-million dollar grant proposal. The Brittle Bone Disorders Consortium, mainly composed of physicians, researchers, and educators was recently awarded a $6.4 million grant by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a natural history study on Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare bone disease. FRQ-S Grants Awarded to Faculty Members

FRQ-S Drs. Ana Velly, Richard Hovey, Mervyn Gornitsky, Petra Schweinhardt, Ji Zhang, Zovi der Khatchadourian, Monzur Murshed and Marc McKee will all be participating in studies that have been awarded grants by the Federation de recherche en santé du Québec Network for Oral and Bone Health Research. Dr. Faleh Tamimi receives grants for work on bone healing and osseointegration

Faleh Congratulations to Dr. Faleh Tamimi along with fellow researchers Dr. Elham Emami (adjunt professor), Dr. Monzur Murshed and his students for winning two separate awards to investigate bone healing and osseointegration while taking system medications, including PPIs and SSRIs.
