Add it up! Connect to a New Career

Do you love numbers? At the School of Continuing Studies, you can shift your career into a higher gear by becoming a certified professional accountant.

“We’ve worked closely with the professional accounting association to develop a rigorous, new certification program,” explains Kevin Parent, Coordinator, Accounting, Finance & Taxation Programs.

The Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (GCPA), accredited as a professional education program of CPA Canada, separates entry-level bookkeepers from independent auditors, chief financial officers, financial management consultants, and more.

People who have an undergraduate degree can acquire in-depth, specialized skills in financial analysis and diagnostic capabilities. With this knowledge, they can write the National CPA Common Final Examination (CFE) to become an independent Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
