Art prof Charmaine Nelson, will be taking a year off teaching at McGill to deepen her research on Canadian fugitive slave advertisements, while teaching courses in Canadian Art and on the Visual Culture of Translatlantic Slavery at Harvard.

Seven emerging researchers given national honour


Today, the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) announced 80 new members to the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists, seven of which are McGill scholars. Honorees hail from a broad range of faculties: Arts, Science, Engineering, Management, and Medicine.
