The Sustainability Projects Fund (SPF), the $900,000 a year fund dedicated to supporting sustainability projects on McGill’s campuses, has been renewed for an additional five years. Funding was confirmed last week with the passing of the final student referendum from PGSS with 73 percent approval.

McGill to ban sale of bottled water on campus

To mark World Water Day 2018, McGill is banning the sale of single-use bottled water on its campuses. The bottles will be phased out of food service locations and vending machines between now and May 1, 2019.

The 2017 Corporate Knights Green Campus Ranking has named McGill the second greenest campus in Canada! Universities and colleges across the country were evaluated on initiatives they have undertaken to improve their environmental impact, including green buildings, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, sustainable transportation and purchasing.
