Universities in Montreal have an enormous positive impact on the region’s economy, according to a new report produced by the renowned KPMG consulting firm. The study concluded that students in the Montreal region made an economic contribution of $22.7 billion in 2014-15, while the universities themselves spent $4.3 billion the previous year.
