Faculty of Education launches undergrad program in First Nations community

This fall, McGill’s Faculty of Education launched an innovative collaboration with Listuguj, a First Nations community along the Quebec-New Brunswick border. Students enrolled in the new Bachelor of Education degree program will learn in the Mi’gmaq community, in the Mi’gmaq language, from Mi’gmaq instructors – using an Indigenized, decolonialized curriculum that incorporates Mi’gmaq knowledge and learning styles.

Conservation award goes to McGill-led project

The Monteregie Connection project, led by five McGill researchers, has won the Mont Saint-Hilaire Nature Centre’s Alice E. Johannsen Award of Excellence in recognition of its research activities, involvement of stakeholders from the area and use of various scenarios for the development of the Vallée-du-Richelieu area.
