On March 18, Net Positive will welcome David Orr, the Paul Sears Distinguished Professor of Environmental Studies and Politics at Oberlin College and founder of the Oberlin Project. Orr is redefining the role of higher education in the revitalization of local economies, the elimination of carbon emissions, the restoration of local food supplies and the creation of a new sustainable base for economic and community development. An internationally recognized scholar, teacher, writer, speaker and entrepreneur, he is considered a visionary and authority in the realms of environmental education and design.

Members of the public are invited to Orr’s lecture on March 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Thompson House Ballroom. This is the third of a four-part series run by McGill Net Positive, a project aimed at connecting sustainability actions across campus in a central hub.
