June 15: If trees could talk – McGill’s Edible Campus tour

Posted on Saturday, June 1, 2013

Learn about the exciting campus gardens that provide fresh produce for Santropol Roulant every summer. Your guide will be Pierre-Vincent Breault-Ruel, the Director of Urban Agriculture Program. He will show you how the A-frames, hoophouses and self-watering containers work to make urban gardening sustainable.

These monthly tree talks are inspired by Bronwyn Chester’s Island of Trees articles. A limited edition print of an article Bronwyn Chester wrote about the Jack Pine will be available for a minimum $15 contribution at the door.

June 15: If trees could talk; 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. People should meet on the front steps of the Redpath Museum, rain or shine. Everyone welcome. No reservation necessary. For more information click here.
