In a diverse society such as ours, what efforts must be made to accommodate religious and cultural minorities? On March 3, McGill’s Faculty of Law will welcome Gérard Bouchard, the prominent Quebec historian and sociologist who co-chaired the province’s commission on reasonable accommodation, to deliver this year’s Macnaughton Lecture on public policy.

Violinist Ewald Cheung and flutist Teddy Brescacin were the big winners in the Schulich School of Music’s recent Concerto Competitions. Brescacin, a student of Prof. Timothy Hutchins, won the 2010 McGill Concerto Competition for Woodwinds and Brass with a performance of Lowell Lieberman’s Flute Concerto in G major, Op. 39.
