Scotiabank Charity Challenge – April 26

This annual fundraising event, held in conjunction with the Banque Scotia 21k de Montréal et 5k, allows participants to raise funds in support of a charitable organization of their choice. Over 6,000 runners and representatives from 55 charities will be in attendance for the 2015 installment of one of the biggest races in Quebec. The Neuro has more than 73 runners on our team and 23 fundraisers!

So far, Neuro runners and supporters have raised $17,500! Please help us reach our goal of $20,000 by fundraising through your network of family and friends, or by making a donation to The Neuro’s fundraising page.

Pink in the City Spring Charity Ball – May 1

Pink in the City is an annual event benefitting the Cedars Breast Clinic at the MUHC. Held since 2006, this year the event will also support Dr. Petrecca’s lab at The Neuro. Ms. Lisa Taddeo, who is on the Pink in the City organizing committee, lost her husband Konstantinos Yanakoulias to brain cancer last year.

Bikers Against Brain Cancer Ride – June 13, 2015

Dr. Paul Poirier, a patient at The Neuro, has been dealing with a malignant brain tumour since 1995. A tireless advocate, Paul raises not only awareness for this condition, but also money to fight brain cancer. This year’s ride, the fifth annual, will take place on June 13, with all proceeds supporting brain cancer research at The Neuro. The ride will be a poker run with starting points in Cornwall and Montreal. Paul and friends were at the Montreal Bike Show on February 27, 2015 to promote the Ride.
