In an hour-long webcast on Thursday, April 19, McGill Principal Heather Munroe-Blum spoke about the ups and downs experienced during the often challenging last school year at McGill and replied to a series of questions posed to her by members of the University community. The event was hosted by professor Wendy Thomson, Director of the School of Social Work.

McGill University values family medicine

In addition to introducing a series of measures that will provide students with greater exposure to this medical practice, the Department of Family Medicine is now led by a world-renowned researcher, which, according to the Dean, clearly demonstrates the importance McGill is now placing on family medicine.

The Osler Library Prints Collection website awarded the 2012 Publication Award for Best Online Resource

The award was granted by the Archivists and Librarians in the History of the Health Sciences (ALHHS). The citation notes that “the website was chosen from among several strong contenders” based upon its content, depth of scholarship, quality of writing, completeness of treatment and production values.
