About this Issue

Enhancing the Student Experience

On March 15, 2017, the global McGill community will once again come together to show their McGill pride and support countless initiatives. #McGill24 is a one-day challenge that unites alumni, students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff in support of the causes that matter to all of us. Each gift made during this 24-hour period will help create new opportunities for McGill’s talented students and enable faculty to make new discoveries, advance knowledge, and support social change in Canada and around the world. Join us as we show the world that, together, change is possible.

The Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is committed to providing a learning environment that creates an interdisciplinary approach to solving today’s complex and important global challenges. We are committed to giving our students the tools and opportunities to become innovative thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders.

In this issue of Focus on Macdonald,  we hear from some of the students who share their experiences.

We also profile five of our in-house technicians who work behind the scenes to make the learning experience for students as interesting as possible.

Contributors to this edition: Helen Rimmer, Kathy MacLean, Nadia Wendowsky, and Anna Duff and the students who shared their experiences with us.

Focus on Macdonald is published during the university year.
