[13 Dec] Professor Payam Akhavan teamed up with Turkish historian Taner Akçam and then McGill Law student Sheila Paylan to take on the Turkish government in the European Court of Human Rights on freedom of speech – and won in a landmark victory when the Court ruled in their favour on October 25, 2011.
