Headlining the International Stage
Four students from McGill University’s School of Continuing Studies have won the 2017 APICS Canada Student Case Competition.
Noura Abbassi, Nermine Nabil Saad Ibrahim, Darlene Inamahoro, and Cindy Nounke are all students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain and Operations Management. They travelled to Cambridge, Ontario to compete in a case competition against 15 other student teams from across Canada, including participants from HEC Montreal, École Polytechnique and ETS.
Their first-place win means the foursome will represent Canada in the 2017 APICS International Student Case Competition held in conjunction with the 2017 APICS Conference in San Antonio, TX in the fall.
This is not the first time McGill has made their mark internationally; last year a McGill team earned silver at the 2016 APICS Conference in Washington, D.C.
“All the team members worked very hard and overcame very strong competition,” says Nicolai Rassolov, an instructor at the School who served as the team’s coach. “They did a great job. Next stop, San Antonio!”
